User License Agreement update

As of today, our new Privacy Policy and user agreements are in effect. You'll have two weeks to read and accept the new agreements, after which your access to Classcraft will be withdrawn until you accept the agreements.

We haven't updated our agreements for three years so this is a major update! Here are a few of the key changes:

  • There were previously three documents for user agreements (teachers, parents and students). These agreements have been merged into one universal agreement that also includes administrators and other staff members.
  • The Privacy Policy has been updated to include the new product features. We also have created tables explaining each collected data type, whose data it is, how we are collecting it, who has access to it in the classroom, who has access through the platform, and more.
  • We have also created tables showing our subcontractors (e.g. AWS, Zendesk, Mixpanel, etc.), what they're used for, and how that affects data privacy.
  • We updated a number of sections for compliance, particularly around data ownership and data security, in various jurisdictions including the European Union.
  • We separated the Privacy Policy for the Classcraft platform from the Privacy Policy for the public facing website.
  • Finally, we have improved the presentation of the documents including a table of contents on the left of each document so readers can go directly to the area that concerns them.

If you have any question or concern related to these changes, please reach out to support@classcraft.com!
